- We would have rather continued to govern with the Alliance, but there were no conditions for that, says Emmyly Bönfors, referring to the fact that the blue Alliance, of which the Center Party was previously a part, has 27 mandates and must have the support of both the Sweden Democrats and the Center Party to get its policy through.

- We are not prepared to give the Sweden Democrats that influence, says Emmyly Bönfors.

The Center Party has thus had a wave master role, but did not want to give notice until now.
