“The gas leak on the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines in the exclusive economic zones of Sweden and Denmark is the result of explosions, probably caused by sabotage,” she wrote on Twitter.

Authorities are gathering information and "do not rule out any actors or motives," she added.

Earlier, Nord Stream 2 AG reported an emergency on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

The operator also announced a pressure drop in both Nord Stream lines.

The locations of physical damage to both Nord Stream lines have been identified and are located in the exclusive economic zone of Denmark and Sweden.

It is impossible to estimate the timing of the resumption of the operation of the gas pipeline.
