Some private individuals had seen the sailboat drifting out in the choppy water and raised the alarm.

The rescue service's internal commander, André Wadell, says that they went out together with the Maritime and Air Rescue, which had also called in a helicopter, and helped push the sailboat to land.

- I don't know the reason behind it, but the person needed help driving the boat to shore, says André Wadell.

The rescue service urges you to keep an eye on the weather

According to SMHI's weather reports for the week, there will be some winds along the coast and Interior Commander André Wadell says it might be smart to think tactically.

- You have to keep an eye on the weather.

This person also went out at night for a longer turn, so think carefully and check the weather and wind conditions so you don't go on too dangerous a trip, he says.

The person escaped unharmed and was taken to a hotel to sleep and warm up.
