The Social Democrats have been in power in Vingåker for decades, apart from the mandate period from 2003 to 2006, when all other parties in the municipal council formed an alliance to push out S.

But for the last 16 years, the municipality has had social democrats in power.

Most recent mandate in a constellation consisting of S, C, KD and MP.

But now C and KD have changed sides and together with M, a new board has been created in the municipality.

Anneli Bengtsson calls the new power coalition a "fragile minority government dependent on the Sweden Democrats".
