The ski slope in Arboga depends on artificial snow to be able to stay open for alpine skiing.

But the forecast for winter looks bleak.

- We have a budget that we can make snow for.

If the electricity price becomes high, there will be less artificial snow, says Andreas Nyquist, chairman of Arboga Alpina.

According to Andreas Nyquist, the weather and the price of electricity for the day will be decisive as to when they can produce snow.

- If we can choose, we will spray when it is ten degrees cold and we see that the electricity price for the night is low or within the limit that we think is reasonable, he says.

No rent increases - so far

At the moment, Arboga municipality has not decided to allocate more money to association life as a result of high electricity prices this winter.

There are also no proposals to raise rents.

- We follow the development and are aware of the challenge, says Måns von Stedingk, association consultant at Arboga municipality.
