Crossing the border with Georgia on foot was allowed at the Upper Lars checkpoint in North Ossetia

It is noted that the Minister of Internal Affairs for North Ossetia-Alania, Police Lieutenant-General Andrey Sergeev, held a field meeting at the Upper Lars checkpoint.

“As a result of the meeting, the participants decided to allow citizens to cross the border on foot, and a number of further measures were planned in terms of law and order and road safety,” the report says.

Earlier, a member of the Georgian parliament, Nona Mamulashvili, citing a government statement, said that from September 26, Georgia could close the borders for Russians of draft age.
