On September 27, local time, TASS news agency reported that the consulate general of the Japanese consulate in Vladivostok will leave Russia before September 28.
A day earlier, Russia's Federal Security Service said a consulate at the Japanese consulate general in the Russian Far East city of Vladivostok was arrested on suspicion of espionage.
The consul has admitted his actions and has been listed as persona non grata by Russia, who ordered him to leave Russia within two days.
