- The regional council is ready, then I hope to sit on a committee or something similar, says Benny Rosengren (DSP)

Benny Rosengren was second at the top of the Dalarna healthcare party's list, which was aimed at Ludvika and Smedjebacken, and the number of votes on that list is enough for a place for Rosengren in the regional council.

It was clear on Tuesday.

Excluded from the Sweden Democrats last spring

Rosengren was expelled from the Sweden Democrats on February 14, 2022. The party's representatives never wanted to describe the background to the decision and called it an "internal matter".

In interviews with SVT, Rosengren described that he was accused of having criticized and behaved threateningly towards other politicians in the party.

Those accusations were denied by Rosengren.

Started local party in Ludvika

Before the autumn elections, Rosengren started a new party in Ludvika, the Dala Democrats, which won a seat in the municipal council.

In the region, for the next four years he will represent Dalarna's health care party, which during the last mandate period was involved in managing the operations of Region Dalarna.

About the tours with his old parent party SD and the announcement that they want to appoint Kent Ekeroth as opposition councilor, Benny Rosengren says:

- If I had remained in SD and been able to influence, he would not have been relevant as an opposition councilor in Dalarna.
