He suffers from an open fracture.

A policeman was seriously injured on Tuesday afternoon during a patrol in the Croix-Bonneau sector west of Nantes.

According to the first elements, the agents spotted a two-wheeler which drove dangerously, and tried to arrest it.

The driver of the scooter would then have refused to comply, hitting one of the police officers, before fleeing.

The Minister of the Interior has already reacted on Twitter, expressing his "support for the seriously injured policeman" in Nantes.

“In order to carry out numerous police operations there, a mobile force unit is sent there this evening on my instruction and the CRS 8 will be on site tomorrow”, also wrote Gérald Darmanin.
