Woman died in head-on collision with truck

The woman was traveling alone in a car when she collided with the truck on national highway 50 north of Motala.

The accident took place south of Medevi shortly before 9 p.m.

Police, ambulance and emergency services were called to the scene.

- They are trying to get the vehicles apart.

It is quite messy at the site, said Morgan Wass, officer on duty at Rädningsjänstän Östra Götaland, while the work was going on.

Traffic was completely shut down in both directions.

Shortly before midnight, a lane was opened and an hour later the traffic could be fully released, reports SR P4 Östergötland.
