Slutsky clarified that the relevant order was signed by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

“Zhirinovsky Street (this is its official name) will go from Nezhinskaya Street along the valley of the Setun River in the Ochakovo-Matveevskoye area,” wrote Slutsky.

Slutsky noted that the Liberal Democratic Party expressed gratitude to the Moscow City Hall for perpetuating the memory of Zhirinovsky.

Earlier, the territory near the US Embassy in Moscow was given the name "Donetsk People's Republic Square".

Vladimir Zhirinovsky died on April 6 at the age of 75.
