Man sentenced to 13 years in prison for raping his daughter

A 47-year-old man was sentenced this Friday by the criminal court of Calvados, in Caen, to thirteen years in prison.

He was accused of raping his own daughter;

The trial had opened the day before concerning these facts which date back to the period 2010-2013.

The victim, now 13, dared to recount the abuse suffered, rape and sexual assault, in Lisieux a few years later.

More parental authority

Placed in pre-trial detention in October 2017, the forties was then released under judicial supervision in February 2020. In addition to the sentence of criminal imprisonment, the man is now prohibited from carrying out an activity in contact with minors.

Parental authority over all his children was taken away from him.

He has ten days to appeal.
