A 33-year-old man died in a traffic accident on Saturday in the town of La Balme-les-Grottes (Isère);

He was in a car that hit a motorhome in a frontal impact, on departmental road 65.

The circumstances of this tragedy remain to be clarified by the gendarmes.

According to the first elements relayed by Le Dauphine released, the driver of the Audi would have driven at high speed to overtake another vehicle and would then have collided with the motorhome arriving in front.

The victim's companion was following in another car.

The victim's companion and their child, who were traveling in another car, arrived a few minutes later at the scene of the accident.

The young woman, in a state of shock, was taken care of by the firefighters. 

The occupants of the motorhome were injured.

The 45-year-old driver was seriously injured and airlifted to a hospital in Lyon, says Le Dauphiné Libéré.

The 43-year-old passenger was also evacuated, but the couple's life is not in danger.
