The Wall Street Journal published a model of the house in which al-Qaeda terrorist leader Ayman al-Zawahiri lived in the Afghan capital, Kabul, before he was killed in a special operation targeting him under the direct supervision of US President Joe Biden.

The model was displayed at the CIA Museum, one of the rare museums that does not open its doors to the public, and its headquarters are located inside the agency's headquarters in Langley, Virginia.

The sculpture depicts Al-Zawahiri's house, which consists of three floors with a balcony, and its walls are covered with barbed wire.

The museum's director, Robert Baer, explained that "the model displayed is the one that was used during discussions in the White House during the planning of the killing of Al-Zawahiri that took place on July 31, using a drone that fired two Hellfire missiles without the house collapsing or anyone being killed." members of the house except for the al-Qaeda leader."

He added about the museum that houses the model: "This museum serves many of our employees to learn the lessons of the past."

The museum was recently renovated and will reopen after a nearly year-long renovation to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the creation of the CIA.

While the museum is not open to the public, Bayer noted that some of its holdings will be featured on the CIA's website.

He noted that there are future plans to allow 3D virtual tours.
