Hundreds of people participated in Ceggia (Venice), this afternoon, at the funeral of Giuliano De Seta, the 18-year-old student who died in an accident during the internship of the alternation between school and work in a company in Noventa di Piave.
Waiting for the coffin, in a white coffin, were the classmates of the Isis Da Vinci of Portogruaro, together with the teachers and the manager.
The embrace of friends with the parents and the younger brother of the victim, before the blessing and the entrance to the church, was moving.
At the end, in the church square, friends, parents and classmates read three letters in memory of the missing young man.
Eventually, white balloons were released into the sky.
Among the many people crowded in the parish churchyard - who were able to follow the ceremony thanks to the loudspeakers - also some mayors of nearby municipalities, who attended with the tricolor band and proclaimed, for today, the city mourning with the flags displayed at half mast in public buildings.
During the funeral, all public events were suspended in Ceggia and the exhibitors lowered the shutters.
Giuliano De Seta's body will be cremated.
