Success after Cannes
“Nostalgia” took part in competition in the last edition of
the Cannes Film Festival
, enjoying great success among the public and critics.
It then obtained
five Silver Ribbons:
for Best Direction to Mario Martone, Best Actor to Pierfrancesco Favino, Best Screenplay to Mario Martone and Ippolita Di Majo and for Best Supporting Actor to Francesco Di Leva and Tommaso Ragno.
The next steps
“Nostalgia” will compete for
the
shortlist
which will include the fifteen best
international films selected by the Academy and which
will be announced on December 21st
.
The announcement of the
nominations
(the five films nominated to compete for the award) is scheduled for
January 24, 2023,
while
the Academy Awards ceremony
will be held
in Los Angeles on March 12, 2023
.
