The Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed up to 100 militants of the "Foreign Legion" as a result of attacks on the points of deployment of this unit.

This was announced during a briefing by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov.

“The high-precision strikes of the Russian Aerospace Forces on the points of temporary deployment of the Foreign Legion and units of nationalist formations in the area of ​​​​the settlement of Svyatogorsk of the Donetsk People’s Republic eliminated up to 100 militants,” he said.

In addition, a missile attack was launched on the forward control post of the 10th mountain assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Chasov Yar area (DPR).

At that moment, the command of the Ukrainian brigade was holding a meeting there.

As a result, up to 25 Ukrainian servicemen were destroyed, more than 40 were injured.

Eight units of military equipment were disabled.

The Russian military also delivered a massive fire strike “on the deployment points of the 14th mechanized and 95th air assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” in the Kharkiv region.

As Igor Konashenkov clarified, "the losses of the enemy amounted to more than 120 servicemen killed and wounded, 15 units of military equipment."

In addition, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that as a result of a strike on a temporary deployment point of the 406th artillery brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Ochakov area (Nikolaev region), up to 50 militants, ten units of military equipment and more than 2 thousand artillery shells were destroyed.

The RF Armed Forces also hit five command posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and attacked 56 enemy artillery units, manpower and military equipment in 163 districts.

Three warehouses of ammunition and rocket and artillery weapons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed in the regions of Zaporozhye, Nikolaev and Kramatorsk.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the Russian Aerospace Forces over the past day shot down one Ukrainian Su-24 front-line bomber, Russian air defense systems intercepted 13 UAVs and 19 HIMARS and Alder MLRS shells.

The Russian Defense Ministry also spoke about the ongoing provocations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of ​​the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

“Artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was shelling the holiday village Volna, located in close proximity to the nuclear power plant.

In total, 25 shells were fired from the areas of the settlements of Nikopol and Marganets of the Dnepropetrovsk region controlled by the Kyiv regime, ”said Igor Konashenkov.

He added that the enemy firepower was suppressed by the return fire of Russian artillery.

At the same time, the radiation situation at the ZNPP remains normal. 

Referenda under artillery fire

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to shell the DPR, LPR, as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, where referendums are now being held on joining Russia.

According to the mayor of Donetsk, Aleksey Kulemzin, during the three days of the referendum, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shelled the city 115 times.

“This is ordinary terror that Ukrainian militants use against civilians,” he said on the air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

Kulemzin added that at the moment five of the nine districts of the city are under fire from the Ukrainian army.

However, despite the shelling, about 80% of Donetsk residents have already voted in the referendum, the mayor said.

In addition to shelling, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to drop anti-personnel mines "Petal" on Donetsk.

As reported on September 26 at the DPR representative office in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC), the forces of the Kyiv regime launched two BM-27 Uragan MLRS missiles equipped with these mines in the Kirovsky district of the city.

Gorlovka is also being shelled.

At 07:06 on the morning of September 26, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired on the Central City district of the city from 155-mm NATO-style artillery guns.

A total of six shells were fired.

According to the mayor of the city Ivan Prikhodko, at least two children were injured.

The day before, on September 25, in Gorlovka, two members of the election commission received a shell shock due to shelling.

A similar situation is developing in the LPR.

Thus, the representative office of the republic in the JCCC reported on September 26 that during the day the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired four times at the territory of the LPR from the American HIMARS MLRS.

A total of 28 M31 GMLRS missiles were fired.

As a result of shelling in Alchevsk, four apartment buildings and a mother and child center were damaged.

In the village of Travnevoe, a garage and a bus of the road repair and construction department were hit.

Eight garages were destroyed in Rubizhnoye, and three more were damaged.

In addition, in the city, a school, where the polling station for the referendum was located, came under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Residents of the Kherson region are also suffering due to the attacks of the Ukrainian military.

The precinct election commission in the village of Snigirevka was forced to suspend its activities on September 25 due to the shelling.

In addition, New Kakhovka was hit.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported on September 25 that the department had begun an investigation into the explosions in Kherson, Berdyansk, as well as the shelling of infrastructure in the Zaporozhye region. 

As specified in the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, investigators will record damage to the administration building in Berdyansk, near which the SBU staged an explosion, as well as a hotel in Kherson, which was hit by an artillery strike by Ukrainian troops.

Two people became its victims, including the former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksiy Zhuravko, who opposed the nationalist policy of Ukraine.
