The alarm about the first car fire came just before four in the morning.
Then a patrolling police patrol discovered a burning car on Regementsgatan at the height of Borgarskolan.
A short time later, at 04.07, the alarm came about the next fire.
This time there were several cars on Roskildevägen that were on fire.
According to the police, a total of five cars were destroyed at the scene.
According to Sydsvenskan, fuel from one of the cars spilled onto the ground and threatened to destroy further vehicles before the emergency services got the fire under control.
Youths were seen lighting fires
Just before six o'clock on Sunday morning, witnesses saw a group of young people on Regementsgatan, near Fridhemstorget, light something on fire at a bus stop.
The fire, in a trash can, was put out by the police.
Four suspects, all children aged 12-14, were found by the police nearby.
They were taken home to their guardians and a report of concern to the social authorities is drawn up.
All fires are classified by the police as vandalism.
