A pension reform that would go through an amendment in the social security financing bill remains a "credible hypothesis", in the same way as a dedicated text, insisted Sunday the Minister for Relations with Parliament Franck Riester.
"Everything is on the table. The President of the Republic and the Prime Minister will decide, both on the method and both on the content of what will be proposed to Parliament when the time comes", declared the minister on Radio J , on the eve of an interview with Elisabeth Borne and a Council of Ministers devoted in particular to the draft budget (PLF) and financing of Social Security (PLFSS) for 2023.

According to him, the possibility of including the reform in the PLFSS, rejected again on Sunday by the president of the Modem François Bayrou, is "a credible hypothesis as an ad hoc project, which are a means of approaching this reform from a legislative point of view " pensions to postpone the retirement age.

Asked whether the decisions would be announced at the end of the week, after a meeting around Emmanuel Macron with Élisabeth Borne, the ministers concerned and the leaders of the majority, he replied: "In any case, there is this important meeting around the president".

The Minister of Public Accounts, Gabriel Attal, had previously in the JDD newspaper, put pressure on the Republicans, who have been asking for years for a pension reform, calling to be "consistent with his convictions" while judging "probable" the recourse to 49.3 on the budget.
