The flight distance was about 600 km, the altitude was about 60 km, and it flew at a speed of about Mach 5.



South Korean experts have speculated that the missile may be an improved version of Russia's Iskander short-range ballistic missile, which flies at a low altitude and falls on an irregular trajectory.



A South Korean military official also pointed out that the North is following a long-term weapons development plan as part of its efforts to strengthen its national defense capabilities.
