At the same time, I have worked a lot in Ukraine and made close friends there, explains Malcolm Dixelius.

He has sort of become part of Russian society, at least the part that doesn't fall under Putin or the oligarchs.

Just one example, which may make the perspectives dizzy for some of our readers, is that Malcolm Dixelius' son played in CSKA's boys team when he was 13 years old.

He had the legendary Anatoly Firsov as his coach.

- It was Anatoly Tarasov who approved him to start driving with CSKA, he says.

When Malcolm Dixelius is now sitting in Sweden and is going to get a picture of developments in Russia, he obviously has a reliable network to turn to.
