Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, Deputy Managing Director of the Dubai Future Foundation, confirmed that the “Dubai Metaverse Forum” hosted by Dubai this week constitutes a global platform for future technology specialists from around the world to map opportunities and promising prospects for Metaverse. Al Olama said that the forum, the first of its kind in the region, aims to exchange views and ideas on the most important creative solutions, promising projects and key sectors that can employ the various applications of metaverses to make a qualitative and positive leap in the process of economic and human development in the UAE and the world.
More than 30 speakers from thought leaders, researchers, specialists and experts from the World Economic Forum will participate in the sessions of the forum, the first of its kind in the region, which was announced by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation. The activities of the Dubai Metaverse Forum, which will be organized at the Museum of the Future and District 2071, Emirates Towers in Dubai on September 28 and 29, with the participation of more than 300 international experts and 40 institutions specialized in the metaverse sector and virtual reality technologies, will include more than 25 sessions and a number of Dialogues, meetings and workshops focus on a variety of areas, including the development of metaverse infrastructure, the role of governments in regulating the sector and its governance, and the prospects for future service provision by making use of metaverse, in addition to the role of the private sector and major technology companies in developing metaverse technologies and products and meeting the growing global demand for its applications that In 15 years, its value could exceed $30 trillion.

The Dubai Metaverse Forum is the first event specialized in this future sector to be organized after His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum approved the “Dubai Metaverse Strategy” last July, which will add four billion dollars to Dubai’s GDP, and support the creation of 40,000 virtual jobs.
