Security All Madrid Municipal Police units will have taser pistols in October
A man with psychiatric problems and armed with a knife was shot down by the Municipal Police with a pistol on Friday afternoon in Alcobendas (Madrid).
The events occurred around 6:00 p.m. on Paseo de la Chopera in this town, when a man in his 40s came out of a building
brandishing a knife with a blade about 30 centimeters.
The video of the events, which accompanies this information, shows how the man does not collaborate with the agents and is very aggressive,
launching several stab wounds when the agents try to calm him down while they speak to him by name.
During the intervention, a local police officer tries to avoid the stabbing by throwing the man in the face with dirt that he had previously taken from one of the trees.
He doesn't make it and
on the run, he slips and is about to be stabbed.
The individual continues in the street with his attitude and after several attempts to stab the agents, he
is finally shot down on the sidewalk by a municipal police officer
who uses an electric gun.
The man falls to the ground, is handcuffed and arrested.
He was transferred to the Alcobendas National Police station.
The man is a person with an alleged mental illness that has already caused an incident in the neighborhood.
From one of the balconies on the street, a supposed relative of the individual did not stop shouting:
"He is sick, he is sick, how are you going to shoot him?"
