Russian Deputy Defense Minister Bulgakov dismissed

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced, in a statement issued today (Saturday), the dismissal of Russian Deputy Defense Minister Dmitry Bulgakov from his post, attributing the move officially to the transfer of Bulgakov to "another position."

Bulgakov will succeed Mikhail Mezintsev, who until now was the head of the National Defense Administration Center, and in his new position, Mezintsev will oversee the logistics of the army.

It is noteworthy that Mizintsev is also known abroad, as he is responsible for the serious attacks that took place on the port city of Mariupol in southern Ukraine, which was captured by the Russians at the end of May.

According to the Ukrainian side, thousands of civilians were killed during the weeks-long siege of the city, and a large part of the city was destroyed, and Britain had included Mizintsev on a sanctions list as the "Butcher of Mariupol".

And the Russian military leadership, led by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, was recently criticized even within circles close to the Kremlin, after the recent defeats inflicted on Russia, as the Russian army was forced about two weeks ago to withdraw from the Kharkiv region in eastern Ukraine under the weight of Ukrainian counter-attacks. .

And last Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the partial mobilization of hundreds of thousands of reservists.
