Ballots open from 7 to 23 on Sunday 25 September for over 50 million Italians called - at home and abroad - to vote in the political elections and, in Sicily, also to

choose the president of the Region

After the cut of parliamentarians decided in the legislature that is about to end, 200 senators (instead of 315) and 400 deputies (instead of 630) are elected.

The exit polls will arrive immediately after the close of the polls at 11pm;

then, the projections on the outcome of the vote and, during the night, the first results.

All candidates in single-member colleges.

The counting of the ballots for the regional in Sicily will begin on Monday 26 at 15.

The vote of the main institutional offices

The head of state, Sergio Mattarella, is expected to vote in Palermo, as usual, while Prime Minister Mario Draghi will walk through the doors of the Roman high school Mameli.

Instead, the President of the Senate, Maria Elisabetta Casellati, will be in Potenza.

The President of the Chamber, Roberto Fico, will vote in his city, Naples, at the Della Valle Institute in Posillipo.
