• Government Sánchez defends the tax on the rich against the "tax gifts to the wealthy minority" of the PP

  • PSOE Puig asks Sánchez to punish the distribution of state funds to the autonomies that lower taxes

The president of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has accused the president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, of "fiscal voracity" since "there has not been a single president of the Government who has charged us more taxes for the same thing as him".

This was stated at the closing of the

XIII Congress of the PP

in

Melilla

, in which he criticized that the Government in seven months, from January to July, has raised 22,000 million euros more than last year for "buying the same".

"It must be recognized that this has a record, the record that Spaniards paid more taxes than ever to buy the same thing. That must be given to the Government of Spain," he added.

Regarding the PSOE's accusations that the

popular

formation wants to lower taxes on the rich, Feijoó has called them a "joke in bad taste", which "tries to hide what there is" and is "not lowering taxes on average incomes and low".

On the other hand, the leader of the PP has compared the Council of Ministers with a "

reality show

" of "the confrontation and the political division in Spain".

In addition, Feijóo has criticized that the Government is the largest in the history of Spanish democracy: "Two complete football teams, but two different football teams, compete with each other to obtain votes at the polls."

At the tail of Europe

Regarding Europe, he regretted that Spain is at the bottom of the economic recovery, since "we have not been able to achieve the wealth that we had in 2019";

and the queue in the execution of European funds.

In this sense, Feijóo has criticized that the economic policy of the central government has not hit "not one thing": "It did not hit inflation, it did not hit economic growth, it did not hit the debt and it did not hit the deficit".

Therefore, the president of the PP has ruled that "when one never gets it right, the wrong one is the one who does not get it right, not the one who constantly and continuously proposes economic growth, it must be done based on solid budgets":
