Ten cartoonists have created a book that, in a humorous way, will put the finger on the deadly situations people with disabilities can find themselves in. And when the book was to be noticed at the Book Fair in Gothenburg, it was as if its message came to life.

- It becomes tragicomic when you have to talk about accessibility and you don't even get on stage, says Anders.

When Anders Westgerd, CEO of Assistanskooperativ Göteborgskooperativet för Independent Living, was going to talk about the book, Bokmässan didn't finish the ramp until the speaking time was over and the audience left the place.

But Anders is not surprised.

According to him, it speaks volumes for how society looks.

- Inaccessibility lurks all the time in society.

If you're in a wheelchair like me, your whole life becomes parkour.

The book fair apologizes

Frida Edman, fair manager at the book fair, regrets it and says it shouldn't have happened.

- It's our mistake and we'll take it upon ourselves.

Our stages must be accessible.
