He said this in an interview with TASS on the sidelines of the high-level week of the UN General Assembly.

“There is a clear methodology on how to issue visas to tourists from countries with which there is no visa facilitation agreement.

This is a more complicated and slightly longer procedure than when such an agreement exists.

But if it is not there, this does not mean that we do not issue visas,” the minister said.

Szijjarto added that we are talking about Schengen visas, including multiple ones.

“The decision that we should stop issuing Schengen visas to Russians was not taken,” he said.

Earlier, Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto said that the Finnish side would ban the entry of Russian tourists on visas of all Schengen countries.
