According to a statement from the RFEF, the fifteen footballers each sent the same email in which they claim that the situation around the national team is "seriously" affecting their "emotional state" and their "health".
In recent weeks, Spanish media have speculated that part of the players want coach Jorge Vilda to leave.
"The RFEF will not allow the players to question the continuity of the national coach and his technical staff, because making these decisions is not within their competence," said the RFEF.
"(We) are not going to call up players who don't want to wear the Spain shirt. The Federation will only use motivated players, even if it means playing with young people", it was added from same source.
According to Spanish radio station COPE, among those who announced their departure are Barcelona players Patri Guijarro, Mapi Leon, Sandra Panos, Aitana Bonmati, Claudia Pina and Mariona Caldentey.
Manchester United players Ona Batlle and Lucia Garcia, as well as Manchester City players Leila Ouhabi and Laia Aleixandri, would also be part of this group.
