Pushilin said that the turnout in the referendum in the DPR was higher than expected

“According to the CEC of the DPR, the turnout was 23.64% - the result is really good, it is even more than we expected.

And nothing can stop people… On the contrary, people are worried that they won’t have time to vote,” he said.

The head of the DPR hastened to reassure everyone, recalling that September 26 and 27 were declared days off in the republic.

On September 23, on the territory of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the first day of voting in referendums on the issue of joining Russia ended.

The procedure for expressing will will last until September 27 inclusive. 

The voter turnout in the referendum in the DPR at 20:00 was 23.64%.

In the LPR at 20:00 Moscow time it was 21.97%.
