Hultsfred's library is praised as library of the year

- I am incredibly proud and humbled by the award.

It feels like it's a receipt for what my employees put in every day, says library manager Lisa Johansson Schouenke.

Motivation of the jury

The theme for this year was inclusion, and in a press release the jury writes that the justification for the win is that Hultsfred Library worked systematically to build relationships with visitors and local organizations.

They have also had clear guidelines for how to deal with social anxiety and created an inclusive meeting place for everyone.

The scholarship goes to the employees

The prize is a scholarship of SEK 25,000, and according to Lisa Johansson Schouenke, the money must be returned to the employees.

- It obviously goes back to the employees, without them the library would not have received any award.

But I can't answer how we should use them, says Lisa Johansson Schouenke.
