The foreign ministers of Korea, the United States and Japan met in New York, United States.

Foreign Minister Park Jin, U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blincoln, and Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi will discuss ways to collaborate on North Korea's 7th nuclear test at a three-way foreign ministers' meeting on the same day.

The Korea-U.S.-Japan Foreign Ministers' Meeting was held in Bali, Indonesia, where the G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting was held on July 8, about two months after the meeting.

In his remarks, Secretary Blincoln pointed out that while South Korea, the US and Japan have been cooperating in a bilateral form, trilateral cooperation has been intensifying in recent years.

Next, Secretary Blincoln emphasized the need for trilateral cooperation not only on regional security issues but also on global issues, saying, "If we cooperate, we become more efficient."
