The FSB of Russia announced the prevention of a terrorist attack, which the Ukrainian special services planned to carry out at a gas infrastructure facility.

As stated in the center of public relations (DSP) departments, we are talking about part of the complex that supplies energy from Turkey to Europe.

According to the agency, the perpetrator of the planned crime, a Russian born in 1978 recruited by the Security Service of Ukraine, was detained while seizing two high-powered improvised cumulative explosive devices from a cache.

“As a result of the search, he was found to have means of communication containing correspondence and negotiations with the curator from the SBU, instructions for assembling an explosive device and transferring funds, as well as the coordinates of the place where the explosion took place,” the CSO said.

Along with this, four accomplices of the Ukrainian special services from among the citizens of Russia, who were preparing the sabotage, were detained.

The investigating authorities make a procedural decision regarding what happened.

The FSB of Russia systematically reports on the prevention of terrorist attacks and the disclosure of the activities of agents of the Ukrainian special services on the territory of Russia.

On September 12, the department announced the suppression of a series of terrorist attacks against representatives of the administration of the Kherson region and members of the Crimean government.

Then it was reported that Russian counterintelligence officers identified an SBU officer who supervised the activities of the nationalist sources he recruited.

As a result of this work, information was obtained about the operation carried out by the foreign intelligence service, the direct perpetrators and accomplices were identified and detained, the means of committing crimes were seized, and the channels of undercover communications and methods of financing were determined.

At the end of August, the FSB reported that a terrorist attack on the territory of the Kaliningrad region, which was being prepared by a supporter of the Azov organization *, had been prevented.

He planned a series of sabotage and terrorist actions against objects of the Baltic Fleet, Russian military personnel and Khrabrovo airport.

An improvised explosive device, components for the manufacture of IEDs, as well as correspondence with other members of a banned organization indicating his criminal intentions, propaganda literature and symbols were found at his address.

The detainee confessed.

In the same month, the FSB announced the arrest in the Stavropol Territory of a resident of this region, who was involved in the activities of the extremist organization Right Sector**.

The detainee intended to commit a series of arson of buildings, but the work of the security forces prevented him from carrying out his plan.

During the search, they found components for the manufacture of an incendiary mixture.

In addition, another sabotage and terrorist act at an oil and gas facility was prevented in the Volgograd region.

This was reported to the FSB of the Russian Federation on August 15.

According to the agency, during the arrest, the suspects in the preparation of the terrorist attack offered armed resistance to the security forces.

They confiscated a high-power improvised explosive device, as well as two traumatic pistols converted to fire live ammunition.

The perpetrators organized the attack under the control of the Ukrainian special services.

At the end of July, the FSB also reported that a terrorist attack had been prevented in crowded places in the Lipetsk region.

Three citizens of Ukraine were identified and detained, who were found to have components of an improvised explosive device.
