This year, the baccalaureate is reforming.

From now on, specialty tests such as mathematics and languages ​​will be held in March instead of at the end of the year, in order to be able to slip them into the Parcoursup files.

The Ministry of National Education announced on Thursday that they will be held from March 20 to 22 and will relate to a restricted part of the program.

A new calendar that aims to allow high school students to include their grades in their Parcoursup file.

This measure stems from the Blanquer reform for the baccalaureate - its first implementation.

In 2020 and 2021, continuous monitoring took precedence.

In 2022, these specialty events were held in May because of the Omicron wave.

The teachers' unions are rather unhappy.

They wanted tests in June to finish the program, but Minister Pap Ndiaye clarified that these March evaluations will relate to a tighter program, in other words lightened. 

Trade unions request postponement to June

"It's another week of waiting," laments Sophie Venetitay of the Snes-FSU teacher union.

“Perhaps next week, we will be told that chapters that we have already dealt with are finally withdrawn from the program. Almost all the trade union organizations have asked for the postponement to June. classes were still emptied after the specialty tests, which the students said they had continuous control, the specialty tests, or most of their mark in the baccalaureate.

According to the unions of school heads, 67% of high schools had been affected by problems of absenteeism for seniors in 2022. Absences noticed after the specialty tests, last May.
