Who hasn't ever had sticky fingers after enjoying an ice cream on a hot day?

A small inconvenience that is now a thing of the past.

A Japanese caterer has developed a recipe to prevent ice cream from melting despite scorching temperatures.

An invention called “Zut” and spotted by

on Tuesday.

Delay melting phenomenon

The Nakasho group ensures that the consumer can enjoy his ice cream in one hour, despite a temperature of 35 degrees, without seeing the product change state.

Beyond this time, it will start to flow like ordinary ice cream.

The recipe has not been disclosed but Nakasho claims to have found a solution to delay the melting phenomenon: the high temperatures dissolve the bonds between the water, the air bubbles and the milk fat.

To slightly delay this melting, manufacturers would play on the amount of fat.

Not wanting to say too much, the Japanese group simply explained that they added natural ingredients such as strawberry polyphenols.

Sold in Japan

If this invention can undoubtedly please all vacationers, Nakasho did not work on this project to please them.

In fact, he had the idea for this ice cream by analyzing a disorder suffered by the elderly and which prevents them from swallowing properly: dysphagia.

On a daily basis, seniors may feel embarrassed to eat.

The company, which supplies meals to retirement homes in Japan, therefore wanted residents to be able to enjoy ice cream again.

For now, the product is not marketed in France but only in Japan.

First, Nakasho supplied the retirement homes.

The innovative product is sold at a fairly high price: 6 euros per jar.

Three flavors are available: chocolate, strawberry and yogurt.
