China News Service, September 21. According to the WeChat official account of the Chinese Embassy in Peru, recently, a number of overseas Chinese reported to the embassy that they frequently received calls from staff who claimed to be the "Chinese Embassy in Peru", asking citizens to go to the embassy as soon as possible. The embassy collects important documents.

This lawbreaker uses the software to change the account number, so don't take it lightly and ignore it.

In the face of a new round of menacing telecommunication fraud, the Chinese Embassy in Peru reminds the overseas Chinese in Peru to be more vigilant and strengthen prevention:

  1. At present, the embassy's license business is mainly handled through online application and offline mailing, and the parties will not be required to come to the embassy directly to collect the documents.

If you have done business with the embassy recently, and you cannot identify the authenticity of the call, please confirm it immediately through the embassy's consular protection or certificate consultation telephone (email).

  2. If supplementary materials are required, the embassy staff will notify the applicant to send the materials to the certificate consultation mailbox, and will not directly ask for relevant information on the phone:

  License business consultation: consult_per@mfa.gov.cn

  Health code business consultation: lingshibu2020@gmail.com

"Chinese Consul" APP business consultation: perupasaporte@yahoo.com

  3. The staff of the embassy will not ask for the applicant's bank information on the phone, nor will they ask the applicant to remit the fee to a designated account or transfer online, etc., and will not notify the applicant by phone that the applicant may be involved in the case, be refused entry or be arrested by the public security organ and so on.

  4. Please do not trust any phone calls or emails that involve personal financial information or request transfers or remittances, and keep the bottom line of not transferring money, not paying money, or not disclosing personal information.

  5. If you are unfortunately deceived, please report to the local police immediately and contact the bank to freeze the remittance and account.

Please remind each other of the overseas Chinese in Peru so as not to be deceived.
