The communities governed by the PP accelerate their tax cuts to "relieve the citizens' pockets" in the midst of an energy crisis and in the midst of an inflationary spiral.

If on Monday Andalusia stirred up the fiscal hornet's nest with the abolition of the Wealth Tax and the deflation of personal income tax, tomorrow it will be Murcia's turn.

As confirmed by EL MUNDO in various sources, the Murcian government is accelerating its fiscal offensive and will approve this Friday a decree to deflate the first sections of the regional income tax scale.

The cut will be 4.1%, in line with the national evolution of wages.

After announcing it in May, Fernando López Miras becomes the second baron of the PP to firmly approve the adjustment of wages to the evolution of inflation, after Juanma Moreno, whose deflation is 4.3%.

According to the sources consulted, the objective of this reduction is "alleviating the negative impact that the current inflationary situation is generating in the economy of families in the Region of Murcia."

"We cannot allow", they explain in the environment of López Miras, "that the increase in wages as a result of inflation supposes in practice a loss of purchasing power for families and for workers" with low and medium incomes.

The reduction will be applied in the 2022 Income Tax declaration, as in Andalusia, and will be added to the 15 regional deductions that Murcians can deduct in 2023 in the regional personal income tax (the autonomous regions manage 50% of the tax). .

In fact, this community will maintain the reduction of regional tax rates next year.

Murcia has been one of the communities that have opted for tax reductions in the last three years.

López Miras has already eliminated 99% of the Inheritance and Donation Tax for descendants, which he extended this year to brothers, uncles or nephews.

According to his calculations, the tax reductions have allowed "the inhabitants of the Region of Murcia to save one million euros a day during this 2022 and a total of 1,400 million euros so far in the legislature."

Feijóo's "Backup"

The PP baronies have the full support of the PP national leadership.

Elías Bendodo, general coordinator of the 'popular', assured this Thursday that Genoa "supports all governments that decide in these difficult times to lower taxes on citizens."

"Not only Moreno's, but the reduction made by any government," he stressed, in statements to the press in the Senate.

Bendodo has argued that "the PP has lower taxes in its DNA" and that "by lowering taxes we collect more and create jobs" and more income to pay for the Welfare State, in his opinion.

Lastly,

number three

of the PP has criticized the Government for aiming more towards harmonization than towards tax reductions: "You have to tremble when a socialist talks about harmonizing taxes: it means that they are going to put their hands in the pocket of all Spaniards".
