In the Eitan case, the child will continue to live with his paternal aunt but will have an external guardian

A new page in the complex story of Eitan Biran, the six-year-old boy who survived the accident of the Mottarone cable car in which his parents, brother and great-grandparents died on 23 May and has since been at the center of a dispute between two branches of the family.

The Juvenile Court of Milan, called to express itself on a complaint lodged by Eitan's maternal grandparents against the appointment of paternal aunt Aya as legal guardian, has in fact decided to

The decision, explained the president of the Juvenile Court, Maria Carla Gatto, was taken considering "the

, which occurred after the initial appointment of the guardian" which "made it necessary to identify a third party".

The lawyers of Shmuel Peleg and Esther Cohen, Eitan's maternal grandparents applaud: "In the interest of the child, we welcome the removal of Aya Biran as guardian in favor of a third party".

The appointment dates back to the days immediately following the tragedy by the Court of Turin and then confirmed by a judge in Pavia in August.

The procedure on the adoption is autonomous and goes on and is different from that on the appointment of the guardian who must at this stage serve the interests, on all fronts, of the minor.
