"Eitan is with us in our hearts and in our thoughts. We will continue to fight for him to grow up in Israel, his natural home, his family's home, his parents' and little brother's burial place."

The whole maternal family of little Eitan one year after the tragedy of Mottarone says so - in a note released by spokesman Gadi Solomon.

The child, after a long legal battle, is now in Italy with his paternal aunt AyaBiran.

Although "we have been condemned" to be distant from Eitan and to have time limits to talk to him, "we have never given up and will never give up - continued the note - the right to be part of his life and the possibility that he will return to Israel" .

"Legal discussions in Italy are still ongoing and we hope that the Milan court and the people who deal with Eitan's affairs will have his good at heart and correct the terrible injustice done to him and to us."

At the beginning of the note, the Pelegs, grandfather Shmuel, together with an alleged accomplice, is chased in Israel by an international arrest warrant issued by the judiciary of Pavia for the kidnapping of little Eitan, recalled that "a year has passed since 'horrible disaster in Italy "in which five members of the family lost their lives.

"In the dark and in the terrible darkness that covered our life, a spotlight of hope continued to illuminate us: our beloved Eitan. A small child - concluded the note - who has shown himself to be a gigantic fighter and who has conquered life in miraculous way ".
