China News Service, Shanghai, September 21 (Zheng Yingying, Ma Shuaisha) On September 21, 1992, China's manned space project was officially approved for implementation, code-named "Project 921".

Thirty years, three big steps, a dream to become a powerful country.

The first step is to launch a manned spacecraft, build a preliminary supporting experimental manned spacecraft project, and carry out space application experiments.

In 1999, Shenzhou-1 was launched, which is China's first unmanned test spacecraft.

In 2003, Shenzhou V was launched, China's first manned space flight.

In 2005, Shenzhou VI was launched, and China Aerospace realized the first multi-person multi-day flight.

The second step is to break through the technology of astronauts' out-of-vehicle activities and the rendezvous and docking technology of space vehicles, and launch a space laboratory to solve the problem of space applications with a certain scale and short-term care.

In 2008, Shenzhou VII was launched, and Chinese astronauts carried out space evacuation activities for the first time.

In 2011, Tiangong-1 entered orbit, and China Aerospace first implemented unmanned space rendezvous and docking.

Then from 2011 to 2012, China Aerospace successively completed automatic and manual rendezvous and docking.

(For 11 years of "serving", the docking mechanism developed by the Eighth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation has completed 21 rendezvous and docking tasks; among them, since the start of the construction of the Chinese space station in 2021, the number of rendezvous and docking has reached 10.)

The third step is to build a space station to solve the large-scale long-term care of space applications.

In 2021, the Tianhe core module will enter orbit.

In 2022, the Tianwen experimental module will enter orbit.

At the moment, the Mengtian experimental cabin is ready to go.

The Chinese space station is scheduled to complete in-orbit construction in 2022, and it is still "one step away" from its completion.
