China News Service, September 21. Recently, earthquakes of magnitude 6.5 and 6.9 and multiple aftershocks have occurred in Taitung County and Hualien County, Taiwan.

According to Taiwan's "Central News Agency", the latest statistics from the Taiwan Disaster Response Center on the evening of the 20th resulted in 1 death and 170 injuries, and 1,404 households in Hualien were without water. In addition, there were 110 reports of dangerous buildings in Huadong after the disaster.

  Taiwan's "Fire Department" said that the earthquake ended at 8:30 pm on the 20th, causing a total of 1 death and 170 injuries.

  Taiwan's economic department pointed out that there are still 1,404 households in the Hualien area affected by the earthquake and without water. Because repairs still take time, the Taiwan Water Company will dispatch 2 water trucks to the local area to support water.

  It is worth noting that in the emergency assessment section of post-disaster dangerous buildings, Taiwan's "Construction and Construction Administration" stated that as of 9:00 pm on the 20th, Hualien County and Taitung County reported 62 and 48 earthquake-hazardous buildings respectively, of which Hualien has 3 ( 2 have been demolished), and 6 in Taitung are buildings with red hazard signs posted.
