Liu Guohong, a member of the party group and chief engineer of the Ministry of Natural Resources, introduced at the meeting that in the past ten years, the Ministry of Natural Resources has provided guarantee services for more than 200 major natural disasters and public emergencies.
Through ten years of hard work, a rapid response mechanism for emergency surveying and mapping has been basically formed.
Taking the “9.5” earthquake rescue in Luding, Sichuan as an example, the on-site command map was provided to the front headquarters 3 hours after the earthquake, and 14 satellites were urgently mobilized for 7 consecutive days of programming and shooting, so as to facilitate timely rescue during the rescue process. The command map was updated, and drones were quickly dispatched to obtain radar images with a resolution of 0.3 meters in the earthquake area.
For remote areas, where ground rescue is difficult to reach due to road interruption, the timely acquisition of high-definition images with a resolution of 0.1 meters provides timely and accurate positioning services for road rescue and search and rescue personnel, and has won precious time for rescue work.
