China News Service, September 20th. A strong earthquake occurred in Taiwan for two consecutive days. According to Taiwan media reports, as of 10:00 p.m. on the 19th, a total of 1 person was killed and 167 people were injured.

In addition, 532 schools were affected by the earthquake, with a total property loss of more than NT$110 million.

The earthquake caused the Gaoliao Bridge in Hualien to collapse, the bridge deck was broken into several pieces, and the road surface was full of cracks.

  Taiwan's "Construction and Construction Administration" pointed out that there are 10 earthquake-risk buildings in Hualien County and 33 in Taitung County. Except for the three-story building in the second section of Zhongshan Road, Yuli Town, Hualien County, which collapsed and was demolished overnight, the remaining 42 places have been dispatched to conduct disaster assessments.

As of 9:00 p.m. on the 19th, there were 2 red hazard signs posted, and 31 places were yet to be assessed.

  Hualien Chike Mountain and Sixty Stone Mountain were damaged, causing more than 400 tourists to stay in the mountain. After overnight repairs, all the stranded tourists were evacuated successfully. However, about 150 meters of road collapsed at 7.4K of Chike Mountain, which is temporarily under construction. Access road, continue to rush through.

  In the railway part, 4 tracks of Taiwan Railway have been repaired, but there are still 2 more serious ones. It is expected that the repairs will be completed before September 25.

During the period, the "train-like" method was used to transport people, and 115 vehicles have been driven to connect 3,405 people.

  The earthquake once caused 22,024 households to lose power and 4,842 households to lose water. There are still 2,161 households without water in Huadong, and it is expected that water supply will be restored before 12 pm on the 20th; two shelters were opened in Hualien County, accommodating 15 people; there are also 7 bases in Hualien County Desk to be repaired.

  According to statistics from Taiwan's education department, 532 schools were affected by the earthquake, with a total financial loss of more than 110 million yuan (NTD, the same below).

  The Taiwan Disaster Response Center pointed out that the current emergency response matters such as human life search and rescue, emergency repair, and emergency rescue have come to an end, and have gradually shifted to the recovery and reconstruction stage.

  According to statistics from the Taiwan Meteorological Department, the frequency of earthquakes has gradually slowed down after the main shock.

Taiwan's "Fire Department" dispatched a total of 2,265 people, 130 vehicles of various types, and 8 search and rescue dogs to support the disaster relief efforts in the disaster area, and dispatched 5 Black Hawk helicopters.
