Through a new foundation, around half a million kroner will be paid annually to the sports associations Gais and the handball club Redbergslids IK.

The money is aimed at supporting the clubs' work aimed at children and young people.

- They are good at taking social responsibility, and therefore the donor wanted the money to go to them, says Anna Reynold at the Roseleaf Foundation.

Around 30 million in total

The gift from Björn Roslöv ensures that the clubs secure money for their youth activities for many years to come.

When he passed away in the wake of corona two years ago, he had already started the Roseleaf foundation, which now manages his assets of around SEK 30 million.

- He was passionate about the connections in sports, and also followed the clubs' poor finances.

It is the first payment now, and depending on the dividend it may vary a little.

But it is aimed at children and young people, as long as the clubs have that activity, the money is distributed, says Anna Reynold.

Representatives of Gais and Redbergslids IK received the check with the gift on Tuesday.

"Essential"

The foundation will annually pay out around half a million kroner to each club, earmarked for this very purpose.

Gais has had the Gårdstensfotbollen project rolling, which was started when the district was still classified as vulnerable.

And RIK has a project called Good Life, which aims to promote the joy of movement in children of primary school age.

- It is almost intangible, it gives us good conditions to build a stable foundation, so that girls and boys get a good business under our umbrella, says Magnus Sköldmark, club manager for GAIS.
