At the non-subcommittee meeting, floor leader Kwon said this while discussing various allegations surrounding Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, such as allegations of Ssang-Bul Group's payment of attorneys' fees, allegations of development corruption in Daejang-dong, and allegations of donations to Seongnam FC.
He also pointed out, "Former Supreme Court Justice Kwon Soon-il, who exonerated Lee by stating 'active lies' in July of last year (in connection with his brother's forced hospitalization), received hundreds of millions of won in torture fees from Hwacheon Daewoo (related to the Daejang-dong suspicion)." Kwon also said, "Even though the police notified the prosecution of the results of the supplementary investigation into Lee's allegation of donations to Seongnam FC, Seongnam District Prosecutor Park Eun-jung was crushing it."
