“We will be with them as long as they need our help,” Biden said.

He stressed that the United States intends to support Ukraine "for as long as it takes."

Earlier, Biden approved the allocation of a new package of military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $675 million.

According to US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Western aid to Kyiv is designed for the long term.

As The Wall Street Journal later reported, the Ukrainian authorities requested additional weapons from the United States, including long-range missile systems that Washington had previously refused to provide.
