We continue to dig in the mud in the Marche

, after the water bomb that overwhelmed and killed 11 people.

Second night of searches for the last two missing, the little 8-year-old

Mattia

, torn by the fury of the water while he was with his mother, and the 56-year-old

Brunella Chiù

: the rescuers worked tirelessly using electric lamps but the searches were still without outcome.

Yesterday the body of Michele Bomprezzo

, 47, brother of the former mayor of

Arcevia

, was recovered and identified

.

In the morning her car had been fished out of the

Misa

river in Serradè Conti.

Also yesterday the director of the regional school office Marco Ugo Filisetti went to visit the Perticari high school in Senigallia, the school attended by another of the victims: the 17-year-old

Noemi Bartolucci

The research was concentrated in the Contrada Coste area, in the Municipality of Barbara and extended to the entire area affected by the water bomb.

Dozens of fire brigade teams have been at work since Thursday, both in search of the missing and in bringing relief to the population overwhelmed by the mud.

Today, thanks to the favorable weather conditions,

there could be a clear change of strategy in searching for Mattia and Brunella

: in addition to plumbing the Nevola - a tributary of the Misa river - one could begin to remove the large blocks carried by the flood.

However, these are hours of overwork for the firefighters in all the Marches, hit yesterday by a wave of bad weather, which was foreseen by a weather alert from the regional civil protection.

In the Macerata area some bridges have collapsed and there are isolated families in the countryside.
