Camilla on the late Queen Elizabeth: 'I will always remember her smile'

Camilla, the wife of Britain's new monarch, King Charles, said the late Queen Elizabeth II's smile is unforgettable and will always be remembered, in a letter of appreciation to the late queen published yesterday.

Speaking of Queen Elizabeth's death at the age of 96, Camilla added: "She is part of our lives forever.

I'm 75 now and I can't remember anyone but the Queen."

"It must have been very difficult for her to be the only woman," she said.

There were no female chiefs.

She was the only one, so I think she drew her own.

Camilla added in the letter: 'She has these gorgeous blue eyes, and when she smiles they light up her whole face.

I will always remember her smile, that smile will never be forgotten.”
