The members of the conservative and progressive group of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) met this Friday by videoconference to begin negotiations to appoint the magistrates of the Constitutional Court, after the body failed to comply with the legal deadline imposed by the Government to make the aforementioned appointments.

On the part of the conservative sector of the Council, the members

Both sectors have agreed to put names of candidates for the court of guarantees in the meeting next week.

While the members of the conservative sector are not currently considering specific names of magistrates of the High Court to be candidates for the TC in the progressive group, the judges M

The Conservatives reserve the right to veto certain candidates.
