A 53-year-old man was sentenced on Wednesday to three years in prison by the court of Moulins (Allier).

For at least two years, from 2018 to 2020, he sexually assaulted his partner's granddaughter, reports

La Montagne

.

It was the latter who caught him in the act and forced him to report himself to the gendarmerie in May 2020. While the girl, who was 10 years old at the material time, mentioned sexual touching, the defendant rather spoke of “tickles” at the hearing.

Other potential victims

During the investigation, the 50-year-old admitted that he had also sexually assaulted his own son as well as the children of his first partner.

A judicial investigation is underway on these facts.

The defendant has already spent a year in pre-trial detention during the investigation.

He will return to prison and will be subject, upon his release, to a seven-year socio-judicial follow-up.

He will also be subject to an obligation of care and work and a ban on coming into contact with the victim.
